Academic readiness
Students will have the knowledge and skills to do first-year, credit-bearing, college-level work.
A student who has reached this goal can:
- Demonstrate mastery of the knowledge and skills required for college-level work in mathematics, English and science outlined in Appendix B of the Minnesota P-16 Partnership’s Road Map to College and Career Readiness, which can be downloaded or requested in hard copy at www.mnp16.org
- Analyze complex problems and scenarios and develop sound answers and solutions
- Critically evaluate claims and hypotheses
- Ask and investigate important questions about ideas, issues and the world
- Evaluate and revise academic work to ensure accuracy and achieve precision
