Why Ramp-Up?

Too often Minnesota schools have too few counselors to provide adequate guidance on postsecondary options to all students, and teachers do not feel prepared, nor have the time, to provide guidance either. Ramp-Up to Readiness™ provides the framework for schools to guide all junior and senior high school students through a research-derived sequence of courses, projects, activities, and experiences that prepares them for college success. The program is rooted in research and best practices, and designed to be practical and immediately implementable in Minnesota schools.

Ramp-Up’s dual mission is to put entirely new students on the college prep track, and to accelerate the academic momentum of those who are already there.
